As you may know, my name is Kanajzae Brown, but everyone calls me Naj. I'm a Freshman here at High Point University majoring in Biology on a Pre-Medicine track. I am..... Wait, this blog post isn't about me, its about my fabulous group! Women of Wisdom.

We are a group of young ladies from various backgrounds in the first year seminar called "Talking About Freedom". We each have different majors, personalities and interests. But one huge thing we have in common is that we are and ready to learn about our rights and freedom.

Haley who sits to the right of me is an Exercise Science Major on a Pre-Physicians Assistant track. She is from White-Hall Pensylvania and lives in UC2 here on HPU's

campus. In high school she really enjoyed athletics as she played soccer, softball, basketball and ran track. She aspires to be a neonatal PA. One of her favorite places to eat is The Outback and her favorite food is lobster tails. Some interesting facts about her is she has 14 piercings an 2 tattoos. She chose HPU to be far away from home and loves the beaches in NC.

Jordan who sits to the right of me is a Strategic Communications major and minors in Spanish. Her home town is Moorpark California where the sun is always shining! Which is very close to LA! She stays in UC2 here at HPU along with Haley! She enjoys going to the beach whenever she can! Here at HPU she participates in the dance team where she showcases her talents. She's been dancing since she was she was just 3 years old. One of her favorite foods is pasta. Some fun facts is that she loves to read and travel. And she and her family went to France this summer on a cruise.

Anna who sits just at the end of our row is a Strategic Communications major. Here at HPU she is just an hour and a half away from her home in Charlotte, NC. On campus she lives in Blessing. One of her favorite things to do is travel the world. Her favorite place to visit was Mexico and plans to travel to London this summer. If you ask anyone about Anna, they'd describe her as "the social butterfly"! Her outgoing spirit attracts many people. One of her favorite foods is tutor tots! Her goal in this class is to learn things about Law and she's really interested in the freedom aspect. She chose to come to HPU to be far away from Cali.

Nastya who's is a fashionista sits at the end of the row. She is a Business major who lives in UC2 here on campus. Her life story is amazing! She was born in Seattle Washington, and moved to a part of Russia thats almost in Asia called, Sakhalin. 20 minutes away from Japan. But, she actually went to high school, in New Hampshire and enjoyed doing Rhythmic Gymnastics for 15 years of her life. One of her favorite food is crepes! Some interesting facts about Nastya is that she really likes to play tennis as a hobby and she loves cross stitching. She chose this class because of the latest political issues. She feels like many peoples' freedom is in jeopardy of being violated. Thus, she wants to learn more about freedom and her rights.
